An Introduction
Our marquees are situated in the Official Hospitality Village in Ascot Meadow. This is situated between the railway station and the Grandstand Entrance, and guests are issued with badges that allow readmission to the racecourse throughout the day via a tunnel to and from the Grandstand area for corporate hospitality guests only. The marquees themselves are fully carpeted and furnished, each having its own bar, colour television, floral decorations and cloakroom; they are set in the middle of a private garden area, complete with tables, chairs and canopies. Each marquee is staffed by a team of stewards and waitresses, under the supervision of our experienced hostesses. In addition, each marquee has its own manager...
We provide hospitality facilities throughout Royal Ascot...
For example the
Pavilion Restaurant, a fully air-conditioned restaurant situated within the grounds of the course, overlooking the Grandstand Lawn. Guests are also supplied with tickets to the reserved seating area in the Grandstand.
When considering Royal Ascot as an event at which to entertain clients, the choice of day is obviously important. In terms of the racing, each of the days has points to commend it, and preferences are really only a matter of personal taste. Ladies Day (Thursday 22nd June), in addition to being the fashion highlight of the meeting, is also more formal than the other days, with morning suits being the norm for gentlemen. It is also de rigueur when inviting male clients to Ladies Day also to invite their wives. On all days of the Royal Meeting the minimum standard of dress for gentlemen is jacket and tie.
If you refer to the
Itinerary, you will see that clients are afforded plenty of time in which to talk to their guests. From eleven o'clock until luncheon, guests are served drinks, including the Champagne reception, at tables in the garden area, before retiring to the marquee to eat. We enable you to seat your guests to your requirements, by asking you to fill in seating plans prior to the event, and then printing table place cards with your company motif and the guest's name.
There are obviously many opportunities to bet at the racecourse, although guests may choose to place their bets at the Tote facility within the hospitality village, and return at the end of the day to collect their winnings. As the bar stays open throughout the day, and cakes and sandwiches are available in the afternoon, some guests return to the marquee to relax and watch the last race or two on the television. Whatever time your guests return, we make sure that everyone has ample time to relax, eat tea and have a few drinks before departing. We are aware of the power of last as well as first impressions, and we wish your guests to remember their day at Royal Ascot for all the right reasons.
